The book celebrates the millennium, from Buckland's mention in the Domesday Book, through to the present day.    The book includes a history of the Buckland Estate since the 1650's, and includes an introduction to over 30 houses and cottages in the village, many of which are listed buildings.    As this is the first book dedicated to Buckland, and access has been granted to the private archives of the Buckland Estate, there is a lot of new material in the book not previously published.
