The Buckland One World Group, which began in 1979, has two main purposes:

    1.      To focus our attention on problems facing poor people in developing countries

      2.    To raise money for worthwhile projects in those countries.

 Our ‘core’ charity is Money for Madagascar. This is a small but productive concern that spends 96% of its income on supporting the people of an extremely poor country that does not receive a great deal of outside support; the charity sponsors projects to provide people with the skills necessary to earn a living. When we have a talk, the proceeds go to the charity nominated by the speaker.
