From SES Water – have your say on your local water service

We’re inviting you to join our public online ‘Your water, your say’ meeting from 6pm to 7.30pm on 25 April 2023.

We’re currently preparing our detailed plan for 2025 to 2030. The ‘Your water, your say’ meeting will allow you to hear about the plan, ask us questions, and highlight issues you want us to focus on in the future. Queries could cover the service we provide, our impact on the environment, your water bill, or whatever other topic is important to you.

It’s important to note customers supplied with water by SES Water are provided with wastewater, or sewerage, services by either Southern Water or Thames Water. Both these companies are holding ‘Your water, your say’ sessions of their own in the coming weeks, with more information available from each company.

Help shape our plans for the future
We’re proud to provide clean drinking water to 745,000 people in parts of Surrey, Kent, West Sussex and south London. At the same time, we recognise how important it is for you to have your say about your water service. We know water is essential for a thriving environment and a healthy and prosperous society. It needs to be affordable and accessible for everyone.

We want as many people as possible to join us for the ‘Your water, your say’ online meeting on the evening of 25 April, to help shape what we deliver in the years ahead through our new plan for 2025-30. So, please share this invite with your neighbours, friends, and family members. Our plan will set out our commitments for the standard of service we will provide, as well as what customers will pay via their bills.

Full details of how you can attend are available via our website at Your water, your say meeting | SES Water Community Engagement (engagementhq.com). You can also find out more about the meeting from the Consumer Council for Water (CCW), the dedicated consumer watchdog for water customers, and the water industry’s economic regulator, Ofwat. That’s by visiting their websites at www.ccwater.org.uk and www.ofwat.gov.uk.

Please also note that for people who aren’t online, we can provide support to enable them to take part in the meeting. Call us on tel. 01737 772000 to discuss what assistance might be needed.
If you’re not able to join the event, you can submit a question in advance to be raised at the meeting on your behalf. Please email your query or comment to: Yourwateryoursay@ccwater.org.uk.

How your feedback will be used
Our ‘Your Water, Your Say’ session will also be attended by representatives from Ofwat and CCW. When we submit our draft 2025-30 business plan to Ofwat in October 2023, we will be required to set out how we will address the issues raised at the meeting.

A second ‘Your Water, Your Say’ session will also take place this autumn, after the business plan has been submitted, so people have the opportunity to ask how their queries and feedback are being dealt with by us via our plan. Attendees will also be able to raise new issues and ask questions on new topics.

We do hope you can join us for the SES Water ‘Your water, your say’ meeting from 6pm to 7.30pm on 25 April 2023. Please see Your water, your say meeting | SES Water Community Engagement (engagementhq.com) for more information on how you can attend.

Yours sincerely,

Kate Thornton,
