Buckland residents are invited to use the terracycling stations available at Brockham Village Hall and Betchworth church porch which target “harder to re-cycle materials”.
The joint benefice of St Mary the Virgin Buckland and St Michael Betchworth has registered with Terracycle and currently accepts specific brands of dishwashing, cleaning and fragrance flexible packaging, carex, imperial leather and bayliss packaging and Lavazza eco coffee pods.
The Brockham initiative, which is managed by Brockham Parish Council’s Environmental Working Group, links into an already established scheme operating in Tadworth.
Please read the instructions below to understand what can be deposited in the bin at Brockham Village Hall – for now there is just one recycling bin and you are asked to deposit items listed in different schemes in separate bundles.
The volunteers who sort the packaging, hope in time, to expand what they accept. With effect from 17th February you can also recycle Pringles tubes (please flatten to save space) and lids and nuts, pretzels and popcorn packets.
